DOH Confirmed One Pinoy UN Peacekeeper from Liberia has Fever
Ebola Fear: Department of Health (DOH) confirmed that one Pinoy UN Peacekeeper who arrived from Liberia has fever. Many people are now questioning and need clarification if this UN Peacekeepers don't have ebola virus. Ebola virus already killed more than 5,000 people in Africa and people who got infected rises.
Some Filipinos are afraid after learning the news. The UN Peacekeepers arrived in the country on November 12, 2014 and current under 21-day quarantine on Caballo island in Cavite.
Acting DOH Secretary Janette Garin says he will be brought to the hospital and will undergo further tests. Garin assured the public that Philippines is still Ebola free for now.
Meantime, the DOH is asking people to respect privacy of peacekeeper and his family.
