Filipino national a Member of ISIS in Syria - Photo Confirmed

Viral News: Photo posted of alleged Filipino member of ISIS jihadist in Syria. The photo was taken during the latest beheading of American citizen Peter Kassig  by ISIS or Islamic State terrorists.

The photo has the caption of "Callous: Kurdish sources familiar with the movement of ISIS  militants in Syria and Iraq identified this unnamed killer from the latest ISIS beheading video as a Filipino national."

AFP officials are now looking and verifying the identity of this alleged Filipino member of ISIS in Syria.

"Yes, we've already seen his photographs posted on the Internet by an independent news website. We're checking the veracity of the photograph and it's too early to conclude because he might not be a Filipino after all. He has the semblance of an Asian but not necessarily a Filipino," Lt. Col. Harold Cabunoc, the Armed Forces of the Philippines' Public Affairs Office chief, told Interaksyon.com on November 19, 2014.
