Super Typhoon Chedeng (Maysak) Enters Philippines, to Hit Luzon Full Video Updates
Updates: Super Typhoon Chedeng (Maysak) headed to Philippines this weekend - Full Video of Category 5 super typhoon Chedeng - April 4, 2015. Packed with 220kph of wind and 260kph of gustiness
Typhoon MAYSAK has strengthened significantly overnight, now a Cat 5 with winds of 260 km/hr. The satellite presentation is awesome, with a tight core and nice, clear eye. It's close to super-typhoon intensity now-- however, it is expected to weaken *significantly* before reaching the Bicol Region or central Luzon late Saturday night or early Sunday. (For example, the JTWC forecasts it will be down to Cat 1 or Cat 3 by then.)
March 31, 2015 Updates: Meteorologists warned that a storm reported to have left several casualties in Micronesia was building into a super typhoon as it swept across the central Pacific and headed towards the Yap group of islands.
