Mary Jane is an OFW in Malaysia but went Indonesia as her recruiter Maria Kristina Sergio told her. Indonesian authorities  found over 2 kilos of heroin in her bag during airport inspection. Court then sentenced Mary Jane Veloso a death penalty by firing squad.

President Benigno Aquino III has sought clemency anew for Filipino Mary Jane Veloso, who was sentenced to death for drug smuggling in Indonesia.
