Viral: Strong tornadoes hit and devastated North and South Cotabato on April 29, 2015. The tornadoes brought great damages in the town of Cotabato which costs over 3 million pesos according to officials.

The tornadoes hit in the afternoon of Wednesday April 29 at around 4pm. There were no reports of casualties and injuries but crops and agricultural properties were damaged.

ABOUT 30 families were displaced and P3 million worth of crops were destroyed after tornadoes hit four villages in North Cotabato and two villages in South Cotabato province on Wednesday.

The strong tornado ravaged two remote communities in Tantangan town in South Cotabato Wednesday afternoon.

Tantangan Mayor Benjamin Figueroa Jr. said on Thursday that the tornado battered portions of Barangay Magon at past 4 p.m. Wednesday, destroying houses and uprooting trees in the area.

Citing a report from the Magon barangay council, Figueroa said no casualties had been reported but it damaged a total of 30 houses.
