'Felix Manalo' Premiere Screening Sets 2 Guinness World Records
The premiere screening of the Viva Films biopic “Felix Manalo” receives two new Guinness World Records on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Iglesia ni Cristo’s Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
The historical premiere set the new record for the Largest Attendance For a Film Screening with 43,624 viewers breaking the previous record of 28,442 attendees in the United States for the documentary film “Honor Flight” in August 2012.
Furthermore, the biopic also set the record for the Largest Indoor Film screening at the Philippine Arena which is the world’s largest indoor arena with a capacity of 55,000. It bested the previous record set by “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” which was held in London’s 02 Arena in June 2008 with around 10,000 in attendance.
“Felix Manalo” tells the story of the founder of Iglesia ni Cristo of the same name. It will open in more than 300 theaters in the country on October 7 and is expected to break all existing box office records in the history of Philippine Cinema.
