Ben Tulfo, May Maanghang na Salita Para kay Regine Velasquez Matapos Itong Mag-Tweet Laban kay Teddy Locsin

Recently, Regine Velasquez became the talk of the town after her heated response to Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Losin. In a tweet, Locsin claimed that no one would go to war for the sake of clams, referring to the issue about Chinese vessels hoarding clams in Panatag shoal.

Locsin's statement did not sit well with many, including the "Asia's Songbird." As a response, Regine questioned the intelligence of the DFA secretary:

"Ang akala ko pa naman matalino ka. Ako ay simpleng tao lamang na may simpleng pagiisip. These people are invading our territory they are not just taking food sinisira nila ang ating karagatan!"

While many people sided with the Kapamilya singer, some of them were not too happy with it. Among those who took Regine's response badly is seasoned TV 5 anchor Ben Tulfo, who took to Facebook live to air out his sentiments against Regine Velasquez.

Even in the past, Ben is known for his ferocity and this time, he did not hold back from lambasting the singer. During his Facebook live, Ben Tulfo was quoted as saying:

"Ang mensahe ko sa 'yo, Regine Velasquez, next time you open your mouth, think. Make sure na may laman ang utak mo. Make sure alam mo yung isyu and you can talk about it. Hindi mo ito balwarte. Yung kaalaman mo, itago mo na lang."

Furthermore, Ben also claimed that Regine is dipping in an issue she doesn't have sufficient knowledge in.

"So, yung statement nitong si Regine Velasquez, for me, is something na nakisawsaw, nakiangkas sa isyu na wala naman talagang alam. Mas maganda siguro pag ang isang indibidwal nagsalita, let it be someone expert in the field."

On the other hand, Regine's husband, Ogie Alcasid, willingly took the blow and told Ben Tulfo to focus on him instead.
