Hindi Kinaya ng OFW na ito ang Katigasan ng Ulo ng Suwail Niyang Anak
Overseas Filipino workers work abroad to provide a better life for their family. However, in their absence, they leave a gaping hole in their family that no amount of money can fix. This is especially true for OFW parents who leave their children behind.
This is what happened to Mary Anne Olarte, a former OFW who is now facing problems with her child.
Her 16-year-old child named Hetty has been a problematic teen ever since. While Mary Anne was still abroad, Hetty has always been a cause of her headache.
Now that she is finally back home, the mother was devastated to find out that Hetty is pregnant. In spite of this, Mary Anne willingly took care of her until she has given birth.
However, despite being grateful to her mother, Hetty left her child and ran away from home.
Apparently, this has happened several times in the past. Hetty will always run to her boyfriend's family and refuse to go back home despite protestations from her mother. In the end, even her boyfriend's family gave up on her because of her aggressive behavior.
During her interview with Raffy Tulfo, Mary Anne claimed that she wants her daughter to be held at the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
With the help of Raffy Tulfo's team, Mary Anne was able to retrieve Hetty from her boyfriend's house.
In the middle of their confrontation, Hetty protested and fought hard with her mother and the staff. However, her mother was having none of it.
Years of putting up with Hetty's behavior has pushed the mother to her core, so Mary Anne had no other choice but to physically force her daughter to stay in SSDD shelter in Quezon City.
