Sherwin Balbuena was born without joints in his body. This made even the slightest movement almost impossible. For many people, being born with this condition is like being sentenced to fail. But for this little achiever from Bohol, his condition is not a hindrance to success.



When they first found out about their son's condition, Sherwin's parents admitted that they were frightened. They were concerned for his well-being, but after seeing Sherwin's determination and proclivity for hard work, they finally accepted it.

Even at a tender age, Sherwin is already defying expectations. Due to his condition, the doctors claimed that he is likely to have a speech impediment. However, at the age of three, Sherwin proved them wrong and made his parents overjoyed.



Now at thirteen years old, Sherwin is studying to be a policeman. Ever since he was a child, he already wanted to serve his fellowmen yet sometimes, his spirits are dampened when he is reminded of his situation.
