76-Anyos na Lolong Nabubulag na, Pilit Itinataguyod ang Asawa Niyang Naka-Wheel Chair

Recently, Erwin Tulfo's program "iWish" featured the heartbreaking story of an elderly couple. Leopoldo Magpiong and his wife, Rizalina, from Taytay Rizal, shared their story that gripped the hearts of people on social media.

In the past, Lolo Leopoldo works as a carpenter. For many years, this has been his main source of income. However, as the years go by, he also had to deal with his failing eyesight. Soon enough, the 76-year-old man was forced to stop working as a carpenter because of his sight:

"Ang aking pwersa, ang isip ko very strong pa. Matibay pa, kaya naman. Wala akong magawa kay kung mata ang pag-usapan, wala na tapos na. Dalawa lang kami, mahirap po."

On the other hand, Lolo Leopoldo's wife, Rizalina, was bounded to the wheelchair because she can no longer walk. Because of this, the elderly man is forced to become the legs of his wife. Even though it was difficult, Lolo Leopoldo still perseveres to show his love for his ailing wife.

Because they no longer had any work, the elderly couple relies on help just to get by every day. In most days, their children and neighbors try to help them, but it was never enough. For Lolo Leopoldo and Lola Rizalina, life is a daily struggle.

To help them, Erwin Tulfo's show decided to surprise the elderly couple. In order to help them get by, the show presented a "kabuhayan package" for the couple. They bought several sacks of rice and various groceries so that Lolo Leopoldo and Lola Rizalina can open their own 'sari-sari' store.

After seeing the surprise, the couple was overjoyed! They can't help but express their overwhelming gratitude to the show. Watch the rest of the video below:
