Julia Barretto will be exploring new horizons as she partner up with another actor other than Joshua Garcia. The 21-year-old actress will be starring in an upcoming Black Sheep movie with Kapamilya matinee idol, Gerald Anderson.

How did Joshua Garcia react with this news?

In an interview, Julia revealed how she broke the news to her reel-to-real lover. According to the young star, their "JoshLia" loveteam has given her so many doors of opportunity in her career:

"Being in a love team, it can really do a lot of things for you; it can take you to so many places where maraming kang matututunan, and you'll be thankful for that experience."

In spite of this, both of them are aware that they also need to seek other paths. For Julia, it came sooner when she was chosen to pair up with Gerald Anderson. However, both of them had no qualms about working with others because they understand that it's part of their career growth:

"Alam namin ni Josh na sooner or later, sa journey namin talaga, darating iyong time na magkakaroon kami ng kanya-kanyang projects and we respect that. Kasi pareho naming mahal iyong ginagawa namin. It's what best for us, iyong growth namin."

Apparently, Joshua Garcia was relieved to hear that Gerald Anderson will be Julia's leading man. According to Julia, Joshua took relief in knowing that his love team will be paired with an actor much older than her.
