These past few weeks, Carlo Aquino has been the center of criticisms on social media. The Kapamilya actor has been skating on thin ice ever since his photo with model Trina Candaza became viral online.

In the eyes of many fans, Carlo has intentionally deceived his on-screen partner, Angelica Panganiban.

Some people even went as far as saying that Carlo only 'used' his tandem with Angelica to be popular once again. Even though the issue has erupted months ago, until now, the actor is still receiving flak from the public.

But it seems like it's not only Carlo who is getting all the attention. Some fans are also focused on his rumored girlfriend, Trina Candaza. But when Trina's name was mentioned, this is where Carlo Aquino draws the line.

On Instagram, the 33-year-old actor posted a plea for the people to stop criticizing Trina. According to him, he is willing to take the blows from everyone, but the moment that any name gets dragged into the issue, he will stand up for the truth:

"Walang ibang may kasalanan kundi ako. Sorry sa lahat ng ginawa ko. Kung magagalit kayo. Sa akin kayo magalit. Dahil ako ang nagdesisyon. Huwag niyo na po idamay ang ibang tao dahil wala silang kasalanan. Lahat ng galit niyo tatanggapin ko pero huwag niyo na lang ipasa sa ibang tao dahil wala silang ginawa."

On the other hand, many people on social media did not buy Carlo's message. For some fans, the actor needed to prepare a public apology for Angelica Panganiban. Meanwhile, the actress is yet to comment on this issue.
