"Walang Forever" -Song Joong-Ki, Nag-File ng Divorce sa Asawang si Song Hye-Kyo

Korean drama fans all over the world were saddened when actor Song Joong-ki files for divorce from his wife, Song Hye-Kyo. On June 27, the 33-year-old actor's attorney released an official statement announcing Joong-ki's decision.

In the translated letter, the actor apologized to his fans, who have been closely following their marriage throughout the years:

"First, I’d like to apologize for delivering this unfortunate news to the many fans who love and care for me. I have begun the process of filing for divorce from Song Hye Kyo.

Rather than denouncing one another and arguing over who is to blame, I hope that the divorce process can be wrapped up amicably."

On the other hand, Hye-Kyo also released her own statement through her agency, United Artists Agency. In her statement, Hye-Kyo cited 'differences in personality' to be the cause of their falling out.

In 2016, the couple developed a close bond while working on their drama series "Descendants of the Sun." Their love team became a hit not only in Korea but in many countries as well. Soon enough, their reel romance turned into a real-life relationship!

A year later, Hye Ko and Joong-ki announced their engagement, much to the delight of their fans worldwide. On October of 2017, the celebrity couple tied the knot in a solemn ceremony. Their wedding became one of the most talked-about topics on Twitter.
