Are you low on budget? Then take a leaf out of the book of this clever student! Kim Punzalan, a senior high student of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, shared how he manages to save his lunch money. On Facebook, Punzalan revealed his simple trick.


Along with the caption "Pa'no mabusog nang 'di gumagastos," Punzalan uploaded photos of his trick. During recess, instead of bringing a home-cooked meal or buying his own food, Punzalan brings his own empty plate instead!

With his empty plate, he will roam around the classroom and ask for bits of food from his classmates. During his search, Punzalan's generous classmates gave him rice, chicken, hotdogs, dumplings, and one even gave him a slice of chocolate cake!


With the help of his generous classmates, Punzalan get to fill his stomach without even spending a dime. All it takes is a little courage! This way, he gets to save his lunch money for more important things instead.

However, not all people approved of Punzalan's practice. Some netizens on social media claimed that it is unfair for his other classmates who are making an effort and spending money just to have food in school.


As of writing this, Punzalan's post have already reached more than 28,000 reactions and was shared 51,000 times on Facebook alone!
