NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Release Stops GPU Hoarding, Over-Pricing
Hoarding and over-pricing of graphics processing units (GPU), more commonly known as video cards, are set to stop — thanks to NVIDIA's release of its GeForce RTX 30 series.
NVIDIA recently announced the GeForce RTX 3070, 3080, and 3090 GPUs powered by Ampere—its 2nd gen RTX architecture.
With an expected starting price of P41,000, the 10GB RTX 3080 will be available on September 17th, while the 24GB RTX 3090 at P88,000 will be on September 24 and the 8GB RTX 3070 should be out by October for P29,500.

Because of this, several gamers who frequent social media site Facebook expressed excitement for the RTX 3080 and intention to sell their 2080.
Also, we have noticed that GPU prices over at LAZADA and Shopee dropped by as much as 40 percent after NVIDIA's announcement of the RTX 30 Series.
More GPUs were also made available for sale online, which means that greedy sellers have decided to dispose off their inventories ahead of the RTX 3080 launch.
This has stopped GPU hoarding and over-pricing, predicaments of most gamers and tech-savvy desktop computer users since the pandemic started and the demand for computer peripherals have gone high when preparations for online classes and work-from-home peaked in July this year.
