DOH approves COVID-19 booster shots for healthcare workers
Department on Health (DOH) announced that fully vaccinated healthcare workers in the country may now receive COVID-19 vaccine booster shots starting on November 17, 2021.
The guidelines for the administration of COVID-19 booster shots to fully vaccinated healthcare workers will be released by the National Vaccine Operations Center on Tuesday, November 16.
In a public advisory posted online on Monday, DOH has recommended the use of Moderna, Pfizer, or Sinovac vaccines as booster shots regardless of the brands the vaccinees were inoculated with in their first two doses.

The medical frontliners were among the first to receive COVID-19 vaccine shots when the country started its national vaccination drive last March 1.
