Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro with SD 8 Gen 1 SoC launched globally

ZTE's gaming brand Nubia launched Red Magic 7 Pro globally on April 12, 2022. The newest addition to the company's Red Magic gaming smartphone lineup was launched in China on February 17.

Unlike the Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro Chinese version with 135W fast charging, the global model, according to the company, only supports 65W charging.

The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro Global version features a full-screen 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and up to 960Hz touch sampling rate.

It is equipped with a 64MP primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture lens, an 8MP ultrawide angle shooter with an f/2.2 aperture lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. On the front, it features an under-display camera (UDC) with a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture lens.

The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. It also features a dedicated gaming chip called Red Core 1, designed to handle gaming-related tasks such as improved shoulder triggers, sound, haptic feedback, and RGB lighting effects.

In order to keep the device cool, Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro is equipped with an ICE 9.0 cooling system with a 4,124 sq. mm. vapor chamber dissipation plate and a "Turbo" RGB fan at 20,000 RPM (revolutions per minute), along with other components like copper foil and a graphite thermal pad.
