Angel Locsin fires back at Jimmy Bondoc for post vs. TV network ABS CBN
Actress Angel Locsin slammed singer and presidential appointee Jimmy Bondoc for his scathing allegations against a major TV network.
Locsin on Thursday reacted to a Facebook post of Bondoc, who said he is excited for the closure of the "biggest TV network" in the country.
Bondoc, a former mainstay of ABS-CBN's musical variety show 'ASAP' and ex-judge on 'It's Showtime,' said the unnamed company rigged contests and sold out news in favor of the highest bidder. He also said there are countless victims of sexual harassment and bullying in the TV network.
Locsin, a talent of ABS-CBN, fired back at Bondoc. The actress said social media is not the right avenue for his allegations. She urged him to report his claims to authorities and to avoid bashing artists who worked hard in the industry.
Taking inspiration from Bondoc's 2004 song "Let Me Be The One," Locsin took pity on the singer for finding joy in the thousands of employees of the TV network who may possibly lose their jobs due to the closure.
Bondoc was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as vice president for entertainment of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation in 2016. Duterte has been vocal about blocking the renewal of ABS-CBN's franchise, which expires in 2020.
