Last year was special to Jake Zyrus, because he finally popped the big question to his girlfriend, Shyre Aquino. On November, the pop singer got down on one knee and finally asked the hand of his long-time girlfriend.

While they are not keeping their engagement a secret, Jake Zyrus and his partner are not yet ready to divulge the details about their upcoming wedding. According to the pop star, they prefer to keep some of the wedding details to themselves, especially the date:

"Regalo niyo na sa amin. Yun yung naiba sa relationship na to and I enjoy it so much. Masaya ako na alam niyo, pero masaya ako na we have some things na kami lang ang may alam."

Despite not revealing the date, the singer claimed that their upcoming wedding is truly a 'dream come true' for both of them.

What prompted Jake Zyrus to finally propose? In an interview, the singer claimed that proposing is his way of expressing love and dedication for Shyre:

"Kaya ako nag-propose sa kanya kasi yun ang parang paraan ko letting her know that she's the one, letting her know that she's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with."
