Ulilang Gold Medalist, Napaiyak Matapos Alalahanin ang mga Magulang na Nang-Iwan sa Kanya

Victory means nothing if you don't have any loved ones beside you. This is the lesson Kent Bryan Celeste learned the hard way. Despite being one of the most valuable athletes in the country, Bryan still feels incomplete because he doesn't have his parents with him.

Hailing from Region 1, the 17-year-old athlete was awarded as a gold medalist in the recent 'Palarong Pambansa.' He broke his own personal record in the high jump secondary boys category.

Yet in spite of taking home the bacon, Bryan couldn't help but feel emotional during the interview.

Due to unknown reasons, Bryan's parents left him at a very young age. Now an orphaned, the poor child was taken under the wing of his loving grandmother.

"Gusto ko po i-prove sa kanila na maling-mali ‘yung ginawa nila. Mali ‘yung ginawa nila sa pag-iwan sa isang batang walang kamuwang-muwang, walang kasalanan sa kanila.  Sa bawat talon, siya po 'yung iniisip ko. Support po nila hindi po sila nagkulang."

After seeing his heartbreaking message, many netizens couldn't help but be moved with Bryan's story. On social media, thousands of kind messages and comments poured in for the orphaned gold medalist.

Here's the inspirational message of Bryan's fan on Facebook:
"You're blessed anak to have a lola, never mind na lang the past. Now na may napapatunayan ka na. Darating ang time sila na mismo ang lalapit sa iyo..basta continue doing what you're doing right now. Punta ka sa church. Dami mong magiging parents, dito lng kami mga moms mo. God bless."
