Ayon sa Partner ni Eddie Garcia, Lumaban at Kumapit ang Aktor Hanggang sa Huli

On June 15, Eddie Garcia's loved ones signed a 'do-not-resuscitate' form, a medical order which prohibits CPR in case the patient stops breathing. In spite of this, they are still hopeful about the actor's recovery.

Not even a week after the DNR order was signed, the legendary actor finally bid goodbye to his loved ones. The afternoon of June 21 marks his passing, which was announced in a medical bulletin from Makati Medical Center.

However, according to Garcia's long-time partner, Lilibeth Romero, the actor had put up a good fight before finally succumbing. In an interview with ABS-CBN, Lilibeth revealed that 'til the very end, her partner continued on 'fighting:'

"For 12 days I did not leave him; maybe he did not really want to go because he wanted another take! I am grateful to everyone who offered prayers and supported us throughout this time. You gave us strength."

On the other hand, in an interview, Garcia's doctor, Dr. Tony Rebosa, revealed how his wife Lilibeth reacted to the news. Instead of being overcome with grief, Lilibeth was in peace knowing that her husband is no longer suffering.

"Lilibeth is quite composed, unlike the last few days. She knows that Tito Eddie is now at peace and there's no more pain," said Dr. Rebosa in an interview with ABS-CBN news.
