However, at 4:55 in the afternoon, Makati Medical Center released an official statement about the celebrated actor. After almost two weeks of being unconscious, the 90-year-old actor finally took his last breath:

"We join the entire Filipino community in praying for the soul of Mr. Garcia and his dearly beloved family and friends. We extend our deepest condolences to the Garcia Family."

As expected, the entire showbiz industry was deeply saddened by this devastating news. Right after this announcement spread on social media, many celebrities and fans are eager to pay their respects to Eddie Garcia.

As per Garcia's request, his body was cremated in the early morning of June 21. On the following morning, his remains were delivered to Heritage Park in Taguig City for his wake. According to reports, Garcia's family opened his wake for public viewing.

On the first day of Garcia's wake, his friends in showbiz and his fans flocked to Heritage Park, all eager to pay their respects to the late legendary actor. On the other hand, many people are still waiting for updates about the late actor's interment.
