Pokwang, May Panawagan Para sa mga Customers ng GrabFood

Food delivery service GrabFood is earning more and more protests online for their policy. In GrabFood, when a customer cancels his or her order, the driver will be shouldering the expenses. With this policy, the drivers have no control when their customer cancels.

This issue has been widespread on social media, which prompted the netizens to call the attention of Grab. Even local celebrities are paying attention to this matter because GrabFood drivers are falling victim to canceled orders.

Even Kapamilya comedienne Pokwang voiced out her sentiments about this controversy. The 48-year-old comedienne is a frequent customer of the food-hailing app. Sometimes, she encounters drivers who experienced the unfair cancellation policy.

On an Instagram post, Pokwang revealed that the GrabFood drivers have no other choice but to shoulder the expenses when a customer cancels. Though it might seem trivial, this is a huge blow to their meager income every day:

"Karamihan din sakanila ay mga ama, ama na malinis at marangal na naghahanap buhay para maitaguyod ang pamilya kesa mag nakaw, naaawa ako sa mga Grab drivers na nag-aabono dahil nagka-cancel ang mga customers kung kelan nakabili na sila."

Moreover, she also advised other customers to give a tip as a token of appreciation to GrabFood drivers. After all, they spend time and effort just to deliver your food in your doorstep.

Many netizens lauded the comedienne for spreading awareness about this matter. On Instagram, Pokwang's post has already garnered more than 59,000 reactions from netizens who also echoes her opinion.
