The teacher's assignment was simple: bring a photo of your family. What elementary teacher Arnold Cuevas expected is the happy stories of his students. However, what the teacher discovered about his one pupil's life has left him devastated.

His student, Rheann Khinn Cabahog, brought a photo of his family. At first, you would think that they are just like most happy families. However, the photo holds a heartbreaking secret, which Rheann revealed in his letter.

"Ang aking pamilya noon ay saya-saya namin nagsisimba kami kumakain sa labas. Pero dumating ang araw na bigla akong lungkot kasi ang mama at papa ko ay kinuha ni God.

Pati mga kapatid ko iniwan na nila akong nag-iisa super lungkot ng buhay ko," wrote the orphan, whose words made his teacher teary-eyed.

March 12, 2019, marks a turning point in Rheann's life. With just a fire, his entire life was turned upside down. His mother, father, and two siblings did not survive the fire. Miraculously, Rheann survived and came out unscathed.

Young as he is, this incident left a gaping hole in Rheann's life. After the incident, the orphan was taken in by his loving grandmother and aunt. In spite of this, he still can't help but ponder at the loss of his family.

On the other hand, many netizens expressed their sympathy at the orphaned child. Some even admired him for his courage to continue living in spite of his devastating experience.
