NEW SEX SIREN CARA GONZALES PLAYS THE AGGRESSIVE THIRD WHEEL IN THE LOVE TRIANGLE FILM WITH LOUISE DE LOS REYES & DIEGO LOYZAGA, 'THE WIFE'

CARA GONZALES is doing one movie after another. She was just introduced in “Pornstar 2, Pangalawang Putok” in November.

Then she played Jen, the lesbian lover in Direk Brillante Mendoza’s “Palitan”, and Dianne, the lover of Jay Manalo, in the current hit, “Hugas”.

Now, she plays one of the lead roles in the sexy love triangle drama, “The Wife”, where she gets to pit talents against more seasoned co-stars Louise de los Reyes and Diego Loyzaga, as directed by Denise O’Hara. Cara says doing sexy roles was not really a part of her plans.

“I come from a religious and conservative family,” she says. “My dad is in the construction business and I help out in it, also meron din kaming meat shop. Bunso ako sa anim na magkakapatid at ako lang yung babae.

"So medyo nahirapan akong magpaalam na I will do sexy roles na siyang offer ng Viva. Basta ang bilin sa’kin ng dad ko, sa love scenes, huwag kong ipapa-touch yung boobs ko.”

Since then, she has made love to both male and female co-stars and she complied with that reminder of her dad. So how is it acting with Louise and Diego in “The Wife”?

“Pareho silang mas beterano compared sa akin,” she says. “Newbie lang ako pero hindi nila iyon ipinaramdam sa akin. And I’m happy kasi I learned so much from them, pati kay Direk Denise na first female director ko.

"Lahat sila, magaan katrabaho. They all helped me in improving my craft, na-guide nila ako nang maayos pati sa pagpapakita ng emotions ko.

"Hindi sila nagsawang suportahan ako bilang baguhan and they shared with me yung mga alam nila tungkol sa pag-arte kaya thankful akong napasama ako rito kasi nakakahawa ang galing nila.”

She says her role here as the third wheel in the relationship of Louise and Diego is the most demanding role she has played so far.

“Sa story, dati kaming best friends ni Diego then matagal kaming hindi nagkita. When we meet again, married na siya, but that didn’t stop me in pursuing him hanggang magka-affair kami.

"May love scenes kami ni Diego rito, pero mas demanding ang dramatic scenes ko rito kaysa sa hubaran scenes.”

How is it being directed by Denise O’Hara?

“First time ko to be directed by a female director at mas nagustuhan ko ang paraan niya ng pagdidirek. Sobrang kampante ako kasi hindi siya nagagalit. Kahit magkamali ka, may magagawa siyang paraan para itama ang eksena.

"Even sa sex scenes, parang nanay siya, kaya nahihiya ako makipaghalikan kasi nasa harap kami ng nanay namin. Ang hirap gawin, pero nagawa naman namin ni Diego nang maayos.”

She says she’s the most daring among them in doing sexy scenes.

“Mas conservative sina Diego at Louise kaysa sa akin, kasi ako ang most experienced pagdating sa doing sexy scenes dahil nagawa ko na in the three movies that I did.  Pero yung love scene namin ni Diego, nagawa naman namin in one take lang.”

With Louise, she had dramatic scenes.

“Siempre, drama dahil nagkaharap ang wife at ang kabit. Very difficult talaga yung confrontation scene with Louise kasi ang bigat ng emosyon. In real life, mahinhin ako, e.

"Hindi ako yung tipong nagagalit, kaya very challenging sa akin yung eksena kasi ang galing ni Louise. Sumasabog na talaga siya sa emotions niya, so I have to level up sa husay niya.

"I can see in myself a lot of improvement sa acting ko after working with them  ni Diego. Very touching ang movie at hindi lang siya tungkol sa sex kundi about love and sacrifice din, so don’t miss it when it starts streaming on February 11.”
