WILBERT ROSS LAUNCHED PLAYING THE TITLE ROLE IN VIVAMAX NAUGHTY SEX COMEDY, 'BOY BASTOS'
WILBERT ROSS played leading man to AJ Raval in “Crush Kong Curly”.
He’s now launched in a movie where he plays the title role no less, “Boy Bastos”, which started in the internet in the early 2000s about stories concerning the salacious sexploits of Boy Bastos, a male virgin.
"Boy Bastos" is directed by Victor Villanueva, best known for the award-winning dark comedy "Patay na si Hesus".
The movie will remind you of the naughty Hollywood comedies that push the envelope like "There's Something about Mary" and the "American Pie" series.
It also stars Rose Van Ginkle as Wilbert's teacher with whom he has fallen in love, Jela Cuenca as Wilbert's classmate who wants to have sex with him, Bob Jbeili and Andrew Muhlach as Wilbert's best friends and Rob Guinto as a sexy student in Wilbert's school.
Is Wilbert familiar with the sexploits of Boy Bastos?
“Yes, nabasa ko yung stories about him before,” he says.
"But I want to thank Vivamax for giving me this break and this chance na magampanan ang isang character like Boy Bastos.”
Didn’t he have second thoughts about the movie since it will require him to do a lot of outrageous things, like him masturbating then his come splashes on his own face and he licks it and puts it in his mouth to taste it?
If the movie is a hit, for sure, the tag “Boy Bastos” will forever be attached to him.
But when I went to Manila, dun ko na-experience lahat.
But now, 23 na ako, and I’m now at this point na medyo sa safe side na ako. I am now thinking of how to improve my life and my career.”
He has a love scene with Rose Van Ginkle as his love interest. How is it?
“Una sa lahat, I respected Rose. I want her to feel safe siya sa akin so I have to make her feel comfortable. Iniingatan ko na hawakan siya, ni masagi ko lang siya, nagso sorry ako and I keep on asking kung okay pa siya.”
If ever “Boy Bastos” has a moral lesson, what could it be?
Wilbert is also a singer and songwriter. He wrote the theme songs of “Crush Kong Curly” and also “Boy Bastos”, and he sang them too as part of the films’ original sound track.
