ArcheWorld, NFT version of ArcheAge set to release July 2022
XLGAMES, the maker of the PC MMORPG title ArcheAge, has announced that it will release the NFT version of the game, "ArcheWorld," in July 2022. Check out more details about the blockchain-based game below.
What is ArcheWorld?
According to the developer, ArcheWorld is planned to be the first seamless, open-world massively multiplayer online role-playing game to use Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) powered by blockchain technology.
The NFT MMORPG aims to return the ownership of items, assets, and player characters to the users, which was previously not legally recognized in existing games. Moreover, it will refrain from taking any steps that could adversely affect the game's balance and thus the company's earnings.
By minting numerous items into NFTs, such as land and houses from the housing system, as well as pets, vehicles, and gears, players will be able to possess and trade the items.
Blue Salt (BSLT): ArcheWorld Token Currency
ArcheWorld has its utility token called Blue Salt (BSLT), based on the BORA blockchain by Kakao Games. Meanwhile, its in-game currency is called Archeum, obtainable by playing the game.
Archeum is the main material utilized to progress the player characters. Additionally, it can be exchanged for Blue Salt (BSLT) on the in-game exchange. Users will be able to purchase or swap Blue Salt (BSLT) for BORA, another coin on the exchange.
How to pre-register for ArcheWorld?
There will be a pre-registration event from March 10 to 23, 2022. On March 28, participants will be able to participate in the first mint of ArcheWorld Fandom Card NFT.
The Fandom Card NFTs include 2,600 basic male/female cards from each race of ArcheAge, as well as 25 rare Yata, Greenman, Dairy Cow cards that will be distributed randomly.
