Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2022 Sentosa sets $2M prize pool

Garena has announced that Free Fire's iconic offline tournament, the Free Fire World Series (FFWS), returns in May 2022.

For the second consecutive year, the highly anticipated event will be held in Singapore. The FFWS 2022 Sentosa, which will take place off Singapore's southern coast, is set to provide an exciting viewing experience for fans and players beginning on May 14, as teams gather to compete for a share of the USD 2 million prize pool.

In the months preceding the FFWS, fierce competitions were held worldwide. Now, the world's best teams and players are one step closer to claiming the coveted title of world champion. The spotlight will be on those players who have battled their way through the competition and earned their rightful spot at the FFWS 2022 Sentosa.

"Heroes Arise," the theme for the FFWS 2022 Sentosa, embodies the perseverance, tenacity, and courage required to reach the summit of success. The FFWS 2022 Sentosa banner, with its visually stunning FFWS trophy backlit by a spotlight, embodies the recognition and moment of triumph that the crowned champions of FFWS 2022 Sentosa will experience. The sunset in the background also symbolizes coastal Singapore, which will host the FFWS 2022 Sentosa.

FFWS 2022 Sentosa Qualified Teams (Play-Ins and Finals)

The FFWS 2022 Sentosa will bring together 18 of the world's best teams and players from 11 different regions to compete for the title of Free Fire world champions. The Play-ins begin on May 14, with ten teams competing for a spot in the following week's Finals. The top four teams from the Play-ins will join the top eight seeded teams, resulting in a total of twelve finalists for the Free Fire world championship.

The teams will compete in six rounds – across three maps – for the right to remain to stand, with points awarded based on round ranking and kill totals.

• Vivo Keyd (Brazil)
• Echo Esports (Indonesia)
• V-Gaming (Vietnam)
• Ignis Esports (Latin America)
• Todak (MCP - Malaysia, Cambodia, and the Philippines)
• All Stars Esports (the Middle East and North Africa)
• Attack All Around (Thailand)

Direct invites to the Grand Finals:

• LOUD (Brazil)
• Evos Divine (Indonesia)
• Team Flash (Vietnam)
• Mineros Esports (Latin America)
• Farang (MCP - Malaysia, Cambodia, and the Philippines)
• Wask (the Middle East and North Africa)

Unlike previous FFWS, the top two teams from India and CIS regions were not able to participate due to different reasons.
