MIR4 has released its April 19 patch, bringing several updates, such as Altar of Darkness, class skill rebalancing, and a new Epic Light Spirit. There are also changes in the Sealing conditions of NFT characters. Check out the highlights of MIR4 April 19 patch notes below.

Altar of Darkness

Altar of Darkness is a new competitive mode available through Expedition. The Natives (Defense) and Expedition members (Offense) get to start a conflict over the Altar of Darkness, which is summoned daily between 21:00 and 22:00 on each Valley 4F (Bicheon/Snake/Redmoon).
  • In the center of each Valley 4F, the Altar of Darkness is summoned. (An icon will appear on the minimap)
  • Players can join this content via Expedition.

MIR4 - Altar of Darkness

Conditions of victory in the battle at the Altar of Darkness

  • Expedition members (Offense): Destroy the Altar of Darkness summoned on each Valley 4F.
  • Natives (Defense): Protect the Altar of Darkness summoned on each Valley 4F.

How Altar of Darkness works

  • The war of the Altar of Darkness divides players into two groups: Offense and Defense.
  • Attack: Expedition members are the players who traveled from other servers via Expedition.
  • Defense: Natives are the players whose original server is the current server.
  • Battle Schedule: Daily, from 21:00 to 22:00 (Based on Regional Server Times)
  • The Darksteel mining rate of the Valley will reduce by 20% if the Altar of Darkness is destroyed. The destroyed Altar of Darkness will be resummoned in the same location at 20:00, three days after the last destroyed date, and the battle may restart from 21:00.

Status of the Altar of Darkness

  • Protected: The altar is in an unsealed state but is currently unavailable to attack.
  • Sealed: The altar is in a sealed state and unattackable.
  • Summoning: The altar is currently getting resummoned following its destruction in the previous battle (20% Decreased Darksteel mining rate)
  • In battle: The altar is in a vulnerable state and is available for combat.

Rewards of Altar of Darkness Battle

Natives (Defense)
  • [Success] Protected the Altar: No changes in Darksteel mining rate.
  • [Fail] Failed to protect the Altar (Altar is destroyed): Reward box(es) can be obtained, but the Darksteel mining rate of the Valley will decrease.

Expedition members (Offense)
  • [Success] Destroyed the Altar: Reward box(es) can be obtained, and the Darksteel mining rate of the Valley will decrease.
  • [Fail] Failed to destroy the Altar: No change in Darksteel mining rate.

Skill Balance

After fixing abnormalities found on several skills during the update maintenance on April 5, the developers have closely examined the overall class balance.
