Proxy Examinee? Suspect Nabbed in Alleged LET Impersonation in Pagadian City

An alleged impersonation incident was reported during the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) held on March 15, 2026, in Pagadian City, raising concerns about exam security and identity verification procedures.

According to initial reports, proctors noticed discrepancies between a man’s identity and the documents he presented, including mismatched photographs and personal details in the exam records. The irregularity was immediately reported to authorities.

Operatives from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) responded to the incident and arrested the suspect at the examination venue after confirming the suspected deception.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the man, reportedly from Marawi City, allegedly attempted to take the exam on behalf of the registered examinee, an illegal act known as impersonation or serving as a proxy examinee.

The suspect may face charges including falsification of official documents and other possible violations of the law.
