For some people, "Wowowin" is just a game show. But for many, this program is beacon of hope. This show has changed the lives of thousands of contestants and among them is this elderly man.

In an episode that aired last April 24, "Wowowin" host Willie Revillame has interviewed three fans from the audience.

The trio comprises of an overseas Filipino worker, an elderly father, and a young woman. But out of all the three, only one story caught Willie's attention.

During the interview, the elderly man narrated the challenges and hardships he has gone through in life. After his wife departed due to a terminal 1llness, his life began to crumble. Left to fend alone for his children, the male contestant had to struggle to feed his children.

It came to a point when he needed to pick up a single grain of rice and store them. This happened when they don't have money to buy rice.
According to him, even though life is hard, he draws strength from watching Willie Revillame on television.

As a sign of goodwill, Willie Revillame gave the man a brand new mobile phone. Although the host did not give him any cash, many people claimed that he was given money when the show was over. This was to avoid off3nding the other contestants.

On the other hand, many netizens and viewers were also moved with this man's story. On social media, hundreds of people are calling the attention of popular shows like "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" in the hopes of getting the contestant some help.
