Option Nga Lang Ba? Nadine Lustre, Okay Lang Bang Maging Third Choice for Darna?

Ever since Liza Soberano has withdrawn from "Darna" a few weeks ago, the ball is rolling to find the next actress. So far, Nadine Lustre has been receiving the most votes for the next Pinay superheroine. Is she ready to take on the role?

In an interview, the 25-year-old Kapamilya star revealed that she is ready to take on the role of being "Darna." Earlier on, she has already expressed her interest in playing the role. And this time, all that matters for her is that the role will be given justice:

"I mean, if it's meant for me, sa akin po ibibigay. But like what I've said before, I know that the project is going to be given to someone who can give justice to the role. It does not have to be me, as long as mabigyan ng justice. I know naman that everyone is going to pick the right one."

Furthermore, Nadine also claimed that it doesn't bother her to be the third choice for this movie. Initially, Liza Soberano and Angel Locsin were picked, but both of them backed out because of their 1njuries.

Even the movie project's director, Erik Matti, feels that Nadine is best suitable for the role. In an interview, the seasoned director claimed that Nadine's 'sultry' personality is best fitted for the role.

"After her (Soberano), I only see Nadine Lustre so far as someone who can be Darna. Very sultry. She has a lot of female sensuality and at the same time still looks tough and very Filipina."

As of now, it seems like all we can do is wait until the network has finally done its pick. No matter who the actress will be, we're sure that she will give her best for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to portray "Darna."
