MAX COLLINS THANKFUL THAT HER ROLE AS DOMINIQUE IN 'TO HAVE AND TO HOLD' MADE QUITE AN IMPACT WITH AUDIENCES
MAX COLLINS can’t help but feel sad now that their hit primetime drama series, “To Have and To Hold”, is about to end its successful run in two weeks.
She didn’t really expect that her role as Dominique Ramirez, the erring wife of Rocco Nacino as Gavin, will make such a big impact on the viewers.
“I’m happy and thankful that the show clicked with the viewers,” she says. “I really prepared for the role of Dom and I embraced everything about her, both the good and the bad.
"She’s very different from what I am in real life. She’s an alpha female, a successful interior designer who is very smart, has a high sense of self worth and hates being taken for granted.
"She’s very real so you won’t like her in some ways but she can also be lovable. She’s not perfect, she has her own flaws, but ang pinakagusto ko sa kanya, she has a lot of self confidence.”
She says she really worked so hard for the series.
“This is my first show na nanay na ako so I’m motivated by the desire na maging proud sa akin ang anak ko kapag napanood niya ito someday.”
Her son Skye turned one year old last July and he really inspires her to do good in everything.
“Yes, my son inspires me to do better and to prove myself. And I’m glad viewers like my performance in ‘To Have and To Hold’.
"I really enjoyed doing it with Rocco Nacino as Gavin and Carla Abellana as Erica, also our director Don Michael Perez na malaki ang tulong sa amin.”
One thing you’d notice with Max is that her mestiza beauty is really glowing these days. What’s her secret?
“I believe every woman should take care of herself in a holistic manner, meaning, you should be healthy not only physically but also emotionally and psychologically.
"Hindi puedeng one aspect lang ang bigyan mo ng attention because they’re all important, so that includes working out and taking your food supplements to keep physically, but also meditating to keep your emotions calm and your mind, always clear.
"When you do that, your glow will come out naturally. Maski sa lock in taping, I bring with my yoga mat so I can exercise daily, aside from eating healthy and getting a good night’s sleep.”
If ever, would she resort to cosmetic enhancement procedures to keep her youthful looks?
“Yes, I’m okay with botox. I’m open to other ways of maintaining your beauty, but right now, hindi ko pa naman kailangan as I’m only 29. But later on, I’m willing to try it to always be the best version of my family.”
Max is looking forward to having another new show soon in time for the coming new year. In the mean time, don’t miss the remaining episodes of “To Have and to Hold”.
“Huwag po kayong bibitaw kasi marami pa kaming pasabog sa nalalabing mga huling araw ng show,” Max adds. “Maraming mga tanong na masasagot and you will find out how all the knots in the story will be resolved. So don’t fail to see the final episodes of ‘To Have and To Hold’.”
