Davao LET Watcher Faces Charges Over Exam Leak for ₱10K Payoff
A faculty member from a prominent academic institution in the city, serving as a watcher in the September 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation–Southeastern Mindanao Regional Office (NBI-Semro) on Sunday, September 21, at Davao City National High School.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that the suspect was caught photographing test questions and allegedly transmitting them to several review centers in exchange for ₱10,000. The PRC said the individual will face administrative charges and possible violations of Republic Act 8981, which strictly prohibits the unauthorized photographing of examination materials.
This incident marks the first case in the Davao Region where a contracted LET watcher was apprehended for leaking examination questions.
