DOH Confirms 2 COVID-19 Cases in Davao City
The Department of Health has confirmed two COVID-19 cases in Davao City, the hometown of President Rodrigo Duterte, on Saturday, March 21.
The patients, PH 262 and PH 263, are confined at the Southern Philippines Medical Center, based on data available on the government online tracker for COVID-19. They are so far the second and third cases in Davao region and first two cases in the locality.
According to a reliable source, PH 262 is a 47-year-old male and PH 263 is a female of the same age.
DOH regional office XI has yet to release an official report regarding the new cases, but presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, who herself is under home quarantine until March 26, confirmed the two cases in a phone interview on Saturday evening via Facebook Live.

In the same interview, she also revealed that the fatality in Toril, was a Person Under Investigation (PUI), confirming rumors that a person from Daliao passed away because of the deadly Coronavirus.
The mayor, however, clarified that they are still awaiting the test result to know whether or not the PUI who expired was COVID-19 positive.
