Movie Review: Love is Color Blind

An accident caused Ino, a promising artist, to be monochromatic colorblind. His best friend, Cara, who has been in love with him ever since, takes it upon herself to bring back the colors in his life. However, the arrival of Ino’s new colleague, Iris, challenges Cara’s resolve, as she confronts her former admirer, Sky.

Love is Color Blind is the good balance of romance drama and kilig feels. It is a right fit film to launch the hottest love team of this generation. I love DonBelle in this film. Aside from the fact that the two have chemistry, they shine individually as an actor and actress. The two have the potential of making it big in the industry. Donny improves in his craft and giving a project like this help him to hone his acting skills. Belle on the other hand gets out of her comfort zone in this film. She shows her light side, outgoing personality and prove her versatility as an actress by showing various emotions as Cara. The third wheel to the love story, Angelina Cruz
and Jeremiah Lisbo are also tailor made for their character and shine on their own merit. Angelina is pretty, justifies her character well and good as a newbie actress. Jeremiah has the potential of the next leading man to watch for. The screenplay is fast paced and utilizes the non linear of story telling properly. It is a character driven movie that is well blended to the love story of the film. The cinematography and musical scoring of the film are also on point and well connected and integrated to the film. Looking forward to more projects of the new director John Leo Garcia as he has promised to provide a new approach in executing a mainstream romcom in a film. So if you are a fan of DonBelle and Filipino romance films, you will definitely enjoy Love is Color Blind.

My Verdict: 4/5
